A Community Perpetually United in Prayer

The Chapel of Divine Mercy, sponsored by St. Peter’s Catholic Church in New Iberia, Louisiana is being revived into a Perpetual Adoration Chapel involving all of New Iberia’s Catholic Community. Parishioners from all parishes are coming together to adore Our Lord in the Holy Eucharist, praying for each other, our church, our clergy and the community as a whole.

Perpetual adoration takes many individuals to come together to make it a success.  Prayerfully consider being a part of this community wide devotion as a committed adorer and share in its blessings. Each prayer, each hour, each adorer, through God’s grace, will bring changes to our community.

The Gift of Being in His True Presence

The baby in the manger and a man on a cross are easy to recognize, but they are only images of Jesus. The one who is in the monstrance is not an image. It is not a representation. It's HIM! - His true presence, Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity!

During Adoration you are with Him no less than Peter, James and John were in the garden. Like Peter, James and John, the more time you spend with Him, the more He will open your eyes and your heart to the reality of His love, deepening your love for Him and for others. He gives you the courage to cope with your natural fears, the power to undergo difficult trials and the ability to undertake great things for the sake of His name.
